Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, seasoned salt, dijon mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and crushed beef bouillon cube. Mix until well combined.
  2. Portion the meat into 5 or 6 equal pieces and shape into oval patties, about 1 inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties and cook for about 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  3. Add hot water and beef bouillon to the onions, bring to a boil. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and browning sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cool water to create a slurry. Add to skillet and cook until gravy thickens to desired consistency.
  5. Return patties to skillet, cover, and simmer until heated through, adding water if gravy becomes too thick.

Notes

Let patties rest for a few minutes after cooking. Adjust seasonings to taste, and consider making ahead and freezing for convenience.
