Ingredients

Fudge Ingredients
  • 3 cups semisweet chocolate chips Use high-quality brands like Ghirardelli or Guittard for the richest flavor.
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk This adds a creamy sweetness that binds the fudge beautifully.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances the chocolate flavor.
  • 1.5 teaspoons pure vanilla extract For an aromatic essence that enriches the fudge.
  • 1 cup chopped macadamia nuts Provides a crunchy texture and contrast to the rich chocolate.

Method

Preparation
  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with regular foil and coat the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the semisweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and a pinch of salt over LOW heat. Stir gently until the chocolate chips are mostly melted.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the pure vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Fold in the chopped macadamia nuts, mixing them evenly throughout the chocolate mixture.
Setting and Serving
  1. Spoon the thick fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spoon or spatula.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for about 2 hours or until firm.
  3. Once firm, lift the fudge out of the pan using the foil and cut into 1-inch squares.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, use dark chocolate alongside semisweet. Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top for a sweet and salty contrast. You can also mix in dried fruits or different nuts for a unique twist.
