  • ¼ teaspoon salt To enhance flavor
  • ⅛ teaspoon pepper Adds a gentle kick
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder For aromatic depth
  • 4 tablespoons butter Lending richness to the sauce
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic Brightens the dish
  • ½ cup chicken broth Infusing the sauce with savory goodness
  • ⅓ cup heavy cream For the luxurious silkiness
  • 3 teaspoons fresh-squeezed lemon juice To awaken the flavors
  • 2 tablespoons capers Drained for a salty, tangy burst

Method

Preparation
  1. In a wide, shallow bowl, stir together the flour, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until well-combined.
  2. Dredge each chicken fillet in the flour mixture, coating all sides evenly. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Place the chicken in the pan without disturbing them for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Flip the chicken and cook for another 3-4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Transfer the chicken to a plate and cover to keep warm.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and stir for about 30 seconds.
  2. Pour in the chicken broth and fresh lemon juice, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  3. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for about 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Add the drained capers and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Return the chicken to the pan, spooning the sauce over the top.
  2. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like parsley or thyme before serving. Adjust lemon juice for more tanginess. Pound chicken to even thickness for even cooking.
