Preparation
- Thread the chicken tenders onto the soaked wooden skewers and arrange them in a large dish or baking pan.
Make the Marinade
- Pour the dry barbecue rub into a mixing bowl and whisk in the beer until smooth.
Marinate the Chicken
- Reserve ⅓ cup of the marinade for later and brush the remaining marinade all over the chicken skewers.
- Cover and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Sear the Chicken
- Preheat your grill until hot. Sear the skewers for about one minute per side.
- Turn only once for ideal grill marks.
Cook
- Slather reserved marinade on one side of the skewers, cover the grill, and cook for an additional five minutes.
- Turn skewers, brush with remaining marinade, cover, and cook for another five minutes or until the chicken reaches 165ºF.
Rest and Serve
- Remove skewers from the grill and let them rest for five minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider marinating chicken for several hours or overnight. You can also substitute with metal skewers or add vegetables like bell peppers or zucchini for variety.
