Ingredients

Fudge Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter This forms the base, providing richness and a smooth texture.
  • 1.33 cups creamy peanut butter Recommended: Skippy Creamy Natural 'No Need to Stir' for flavor and consistency.
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract Enhances the sweetness and aroma of the fudge.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Balances the sweetness, bringing out the peanut butter's flavor.
  • 3 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted Gives the fudge its signature sweetness and melt-in-the-mouth quality.

Method

Preparation
  1. Line an 8-inch (20-cm) square pan with parchment paper, ensuring an overhang on all sides.
  2. For extra grip, dab a little butter underneath the parchment.
Cooking
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the unsalted butter and creamy peanut butter, whisking until smooth and bubbling gently.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla extract and salt.
  3. Gradually add sifted confectioners' sugar while whisking to achieve a silky, lump-free mixture.
  4. Transfer the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top with an offset spatula.
  5. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours until firm.
Serving
  1. Lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang, and let it sit at room temperature for about 20 minutes before cutting.
  2. Cut into 36 small pieces. For cleaner cuts, run the knife under hot water and wipe it between cuts.

Notes

For an extra touch, add crushed nuts, chocolate chips, or melted chocolate swirls. Best enjoyed chilled.
