Method
Preparation of Crust
- Crush the Oreos using a food processor or a resealable bag with a rolling pin until crumbly.
- Mix the crushed Oreos with the melted butter until evenly combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan to form a solid crust.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes to help it harden if too crumbly.
Cream Cheese Layer
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and peppermint extract until creamy.
- Gently fold in 1 cup of Cool Whip for a light texture.
- Add a few drops of green food dye if desired, and dollop over the crust. Spread evenly with a spatula.
Pudding Layer
- In a separate bowl, whisk the pudding mixes and milk together for about 2 minutes until thickened.
- Pour the pudding over the cream cheese mixture, ensuring even distribution.
Assembly and Refrigeration
- Top with the remaining Cool Whip, smoothing the surface.
- Garnish with shaved chocolate or chopped Andes mints.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
