Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Crush the Oreos in a food processor until they have fine crumbs.
- Combine crushed Oreo crumbs with room temperature cream cheese in a mixing bowl until fully integrated.
- Roll about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and set aside on a parchment-lined tray.
- Refrigerate the formed cookie balls for about 1 hour to firm up.
Assembly
- Break mini pretzel sticks in half to form antennae.
- Melt white candy coating if using, dip pretzel halves into the coating, and place on parchment to dry.
- Melt red candy coating and dip each chilled cookie ball in it, allowing excess to drip off.
- Quickly attach the pretzel antennae onto each coated cookie ball before the coating sets.
- Use extra candy coating to attach eyeball candies and decorate with heart sprinkles.
Storage
- Store the completed Love Bug Oreo Cookie Balls in the fridge. They will last about a week.
Notes
Feel free to experiment with flavored Oreos for a unique twist! Keep an eye on the temperature of the candy coating as it may harden too quickly.
