Ingredients

Cupcake Base
  • 24 pieces Chocolate Cupcakes Baked in black cupcake liners for spooky flair.
Frosting
  • 3 cups Chocolate frosting Velvety and decadent.
  • 1 cup White frosting For contrast.
  • 1 drop Black food coloring To achieve a black shade.
Decorations
  • 24 pieces Toy spider rings For spooky decoration.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line your cupcake tray with black cupcake liners.
  3. Pour chocolate cupcake batter into the liners, filling each less than 2/3 full.
Baking
  1. Bake the cupcakes for about 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tray for about 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting and Decoration
  1. Combine chocolate frosting with black food coloring in a mixing bowl until a deep black hue is achieved.
  2. Spread a thin layer of black frosting on top of each cooled cupcake.
  3. Fill a piping bag with white frosting and pipe two small circles on top of the black frosting with a dot in the center.
  4. Using a toothpick, pull lines from the center dot to the edge to create a spiderweb effect.
  5. Place a toy spider ring on top of each cupcake.

Notes

Chill the frosting if it’s too soft to pipe properly. For an extra flavor twist, consider adding chocolate chips or espresso powder to the cupcake batter.
